Ece Pazarbaşı

Pazarbasi works and walks on the merged borderline of curatorial practice and artistic research as her main profession. She has realised many projects over the issues of urbanism, digital and analogue public space, participatory art, alternative education as well as food and technology of the human body.

Since 2007, she has been generating public space projects in urban and rural domains and since 2009, she has been curating audiowalks under different concepts in various cities. In 2013 she had the privilege to take part in Olafur Eliasson’s Institution for Spatial Experiments with a research grant. Among her recent artistic positions are her work in Neue National Galerie Berlin Festival of Future Nows within in the scope of "Sticks and Stones" an intervention by David Chipperfield (2014); curator of ‘Walk Over the City’ soundwalk series in Istanbul (2013); Istanbul Coordinator for New Museum - New York’s Ideas City (2012): Istanbul; curator of “Silent Shape of Things-Sophia Pompery” at ARTER Istanbul (2012); in Berlin she co-curated “12/12” and “Turkish Art Nice and Simple” exhibitions at Tanas Berlin (2011-2012) together with René Block. She was the assistant curator of the 52nd Venice Biennial Turkish Pavilion (2007), director of the alternative education, residency festival programme Meeting Point (2007-2009), and project manager of "Orhan Pamuk: Museum of Innocence" for Schirn Kunsthalle Frankfurt (2007-08). In 2009 and 2010 she worked as Consultant and Program Specialist of Visual Arts for Turkey at the Strategic Planning and Development Department for Abu Dhabi Authority for Culture and Heritage, UAE. She will be curating 5th Short Video Biennial at P74 Gallery, Ljubljana (2015).

She is also the director of Berlin Art Grant Clinic. Additionally, she actively works as consultant, also takes place in the international boards and juries of various organisations. She is MFA and PhD students advisor at Transart Institute in New York and Berlin, where she works as an instructor. She lives in Istanbul and Berlin.


Caique Tizzi

Tizzi is an artist, curator and cultural producer born in São Paulo, Brazil and based in Berlin since 2009. His practice is dedicated to the conceptualization of collaborative frameworks, exploring notions of affection, generosity and togetherness.

Specially interested in investigating the social and its iconographies, his projects are based in participatory processes and experimental methods of group work. His artistic approach to food is also an important element of his practice.

In 2011, Caique formed Agora Collective in Berlin – a non profit project space and art collective that hosts a food laboratory, art studios, office and event spaces. Agora is a prototype of a community and develops formats and projects on its values: diversity, self-organisation and social ties. Caique has co-created AFFECT and Agora FOOD.

Caique Tizzi has presented projects at Freies Museum Berlin, Instituto Cervantes Berlin, L ́Atelier-KSR, Neu West, Saalbau Galerie, Berliner Pool and Kunstlerhaus Bethanien in Germany.
